Screen recording

Some problems cannot be described with a still image: menus that only appear on hover, an error that needs three clicks in sequence, a layout that breaks only after scrolling. Record a short clip of up to 60 seconds and whoever picks up the report can reproduce it in one go.

Start recording

1. Click the extension icon and choose “Record”
2. Confirm to start
3. Use the page normally and reproduce the problem
4. Click stop and preview

Length limit

A single recording can be up to 60 seconds. For bug reporting that is usually plenty — nobody wants to watch a ten-minute video, and a tight one-minute clip gets handled faster.

The editor

Stopping the recording opens the editor, where you can:

• Preview — watch it once yourself and confirm the problem is visible
• Trim on the timeline — cut the false start and the idle waiting at the end, keep only the relevant part
• Extract a key frame — (optional) turn the most important frame into a still image to use as a cover in the report

Sharing

• Create a share link — anyone can open it in a browser (recommended; the link can be deleted at any time from the feedback list in the console)
